HR Advisor - 12 months FTC
We're working with a prestigious and leading educational establishment in central Leeds on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for an HR powerhouse to join a collaborative team where you can truly influence the employee experience. This isn't just a process-driven role; it’s a chance to partner with senior leaders in a high-impact environment. You will lead on complex employee relations cases and drive HR initiatives across a diverse workforce, using your expertise in UK employment law to provide strategic guidance.
The Role
- Provide expert coaching and end-to-end guidance to managers on complex Employee Relations (ER) matters, including high-volume absence management and performance reviews.
- Lead professional disciplinary processes, grievance cases, and probation reviews with a detail-oriented approach.
- Design and facilitate dynamic HR workshops and training sessions to upskill leadership teams and improve organizational culture.
- Execute critical HR lifecycles including fixed-term contract (FTC) consultations, promotions, and reward and recognition programs.
- Partner with HR Managers to implement innovative people projects that enhance the overall employee journey and engagement.
What You'll Need
- A proven track record as an HR Advisor or HR Officer, ideally with experience in Education, Public Sector, or a similar complex environment.
- Deep expertise in Employee Relations with the ability to autonomously manage a high volume of complex cases.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification is highly desirable (or working towards it/equivalent experience).
- Thorough knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills—calm, articulate, and able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced setting.
