HR Advisor (Associate) Contract : July - December 2025 Glasgow| Hybrid (3 days per week in office) You must be available to start immediately You must be eligible to work in the UK without the need for Sponsorship The HR Advisor will provide expert advice and support across people policies and services, ensuring employee experiences align with business strategy, policy, legal and compliance requirements. They also create guidance and training content to support self-service for key people processes (e.g., onboarding, probation, leavers). The HR Advisor will work within established policies and are also responsible for designing and delivering new or updated people processes, collaborating with stakeholders and supporting project delivery. Vetting Services Focus This role has a strong emphasis on Vetting Services—coordinating background checks in line with policy, liaising with vetting partners to manage risk, and supporting both candidates and employees. The Advisor ensures vetting is completed within agreed service levels, acts as the first point of contact for queries and low- to medium-risk cases, and manages associated employee relations cases. Employee Relations guidance Accountable for the provision for Employee Relations guidance and case management for employee relations activity in relation to vetting fails or refusal. Advisors assess the risk and legal implications of each case coaching management stakeholders in equitable, fair and robust decision making. Reporting Responsibilities Advisors track vetting status daily and provide regular reports to leaders on completion rates. Qualifications & Experience Education: A Levels or equivalent (High School / FE College). HR-related degree/diploma useful but not essential. Experience: Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, or systems. HR admin or resourcing experience useful. Knowledge of employment compliance checks desirable.
