Summary: The HR Advisor role involves providing operational and administrative HR support to achieve business goals, initially requiring full-time office presence with a transition to hybrid work after training. The position encompasses a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and employee relations, while offering opportunities for professional development and strategic involvement. The advisor will serve as a primary contact for HR queries and assist in various HR activities within a small team. This position is a maternity cover contract available immediately until February 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR information and advice across the business.
  • Provide guidance to line managers on policies, employment legislation, and HR best practices.
  • Prepare for employee relations meetings, including gathering evidence and taking minutes.
  • Coach managers on employee relations strategies.
  • Complete administrative tasks regarding payroll following office processes.
  • Prepare terms and conditions paperwork and conduct inductions for new starters.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
  • Consult on workplace relations and performance management issues.
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of company policies and procedures.
  • Support HR strategy initiatives and suggest opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and update relevant staff records, including holidays and training records.
  • Work alongside the HR Director to deliver an efficient HR service to support business growth.
