Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive advice, support, and guidance on the implementation of the Trust's Attendance Management Policy and Procedure.
- Offer specialist advice on managing complex cases, including gross misconduct and precautionary suspension.
- Ensure employee relations processes comply with agreed KPIs and statutory obligations.
- Advise on the implementation of Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability, and Conflict Procedures.
- Support staff and managers on a range of workforce issues in line with national and local policies.
Key Skills:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification with a minimum of two years' post-graduate middle management experience in HR.
- Alternatively, five years' experience in HR with two years at a middle management level.
- Current full driving licence valid in the UK and access to a car.
- Up-to-date knowledge of NI equality/employment legislation.

About the Role
Currently two positions are open for HR Advisor's. As an HR Advisor you will be a key member of the Workforce Directorate and will contribute to the achievement of the overall Directorate's performance objectives. The postholder will have specific responsibilities in relation to a workforce area(s), providing core advice, guidance and support to Managers on a range of workforce issues, with a particular focus on attendance management and employee relations matters, as outlined below. In addition, the postholder will be expected to act as a member of the wider team in ensuring the delivery of a proactive, responsive and professional HR service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
To provide comprehensive and consistent advice, support and guidance to Managers and staff in relation to the implementation of the Trust's Attendance Management Policy and Procedure, NHS terms and conditions as they pertain to attendance management, relevant legislation and evidence based best practice principles.
To provide specialist advice, support, and guidance to Managers in the management of complex cases, including potential cases of gross misconduct and consideration of precautionary suspension.
To ensure that employee relations processes are conducted within agreed KPI's and in compliance with policy/procedural requirements and statutory obligations.
To provide comprehensive and consistent advice, support and guidance to Managers and staff in relation to the implementation of the Trust's Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability and Conflict, Bullying & Harassment Procedures, relevant legislation/statutory codes and evidence based best practice principles.
To provide core advice, guidance and support to staff and Managers across a range of workforce issues, consistent with nationally agreed terms and conditions, regional and local workforce policy and procedure, relevant legislation, and best practice.
Criteria
Have a relevant degree or recognised professional qualification plus a minimum of two years' post graduate middle management experience within a Human Resources (HR) function, providing professional advice and guidance on a range of workforce issues.
OR
Have a minimum of five years' experience two of which must be at a middle management level, within a Human Resources (HR) function, providing professional advice and guidance on a range of workforce issues.
Middle management will be defined as a position equivalent to AfC Band 5 salary scale
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
Have a working, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of NI equality/employment legislation.
