The Role
Working closely with the HR team and operational managers, you will provide a professional and pragmatic HR advisory service across a broad range of employee relations matters.
You will be responsible for managing your own casework, ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with current UK employment legislation and company policy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and capability matters.
- Advising managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- Supporting investigations, hearings and formal meetings.
- Providing practical guidance and coaching to line managers.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and case management throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Supporting the wider HR team with generalist HR activities as required.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A minimum of three years' experience managing UK employee relations casework within a busy HR environment.
- A sound and up-to-date working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Previous experience advising and coaching managers on complex people matters.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and prioritise a busy workload.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
