Summary: The HR Advisor - Employee Relations role is a fixed-term position for 9 months, based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, offering a blend of office and home working. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on Employee Relations issues, ensuring compliance with legislation and organizational policies. This role is pivotal in enhancing organizational capability and supporting employee wellbeing initiatives during a period of change following the merger of Sovereign and Network Homes. Candidates should have a strong background in HR Employee Relations and casework, with a focus on coaching and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to line managers on Employee Relations issues.
- Act as a key point of contact for ER issues arising from organizational change.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures across the organization.
- Prepare documentation for Employment Tribunal cases and provide technical support to stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of people-focused organizational initiatives, including employee wellbeing and engagement.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in delivering an Employee Relations advisory service in a fast-paced HR environment.
- Experience in developing, coaching, and training managers on ER matters.
- Confidence in consulting on complex People issues with the ability to manage conflicting demands.
- Sound knowledge of Employment Law principles and current trends.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Clear communication and coaching skills with a track record of influencing and negotiating.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, remaining calm under pressure.
