Summary: The HR Advisor role is a fixed-term contract for 3 to 6 months, primarily based in Paddington, London, with a focus on Employee Relations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high volume of Employee Relations cases end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and workplace investigations
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on ER issues, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policy and employment law
- Lead and support complex and sensitive cases, including investigations and hearings
- Ensure all ER cases are handled in a fair, timely, and legally compliant manner
- Coach and mentor a HR Advisor (Peterborough-based), developing their capability in ER case management and stakeholder engagement
- Support line managers in building confidence and capability in handling people matters
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records, producing reports and insights where required
- Identify trends in ER activity and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and improve practices
- Collaborate with wider HR teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality HR service
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a HR Advisor or similar role within a fast-paced environment
- Strong Employee Relations expertise, with demonstrable experience managing complex cases independently
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or developing junior HR colleagues
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

You will take ownership of a range of complex ER cases, managing them end-to-end while ensuring best practice, compliance, and a positive employee experience. In addition, you will play a key role in coaching and mentoring a HR Advisor based in Peterborough, supporting their development and capability in managing ER matters.
