Summary: The HR Advisor role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Sutton, requiring a full-time commitment with a blend of office and remote work. The position focuses on providing expert HR support, particularly in payroll processes, employee relations, and policy implementation. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Good working knowledge of Payroll Processes and calculations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practices.
- Support recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge on various HR topics.
- Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy within HR systems.
- Collaborate with management to identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and retention.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant HR qualifications (CIPD or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
