Summary: As an HR Advisor, you will deliver comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices. This hands-on generalist role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing HR functions. You will advise on HR policies, manage employee relations, and support recruitment and onboarding processes. Additionally, you will maintain HR systems and assist with various HR projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
- Support recruitment and onboarding, including drafting job descriptions, interviewing, and induction.
- Administer absence, holiday, and leave records, ensuring accurate HR documentation.
- Coordinate learning and development activities, liaising with managers and the training team.
- Support payroll processes by ensuring timely and accurate submission of HR data.
- Maintain HR systems and personnel files in line with GDPR and company standards.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement and wellbeing.
- Provide guidance on performance management, probation reviews, and appraisals.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics as required.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment is advantageous.
