Summary: The HR Advisor role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Portsmouth, focusing on supporting HR functions during a maternity leave. The position involves collaborating with management on talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and maintaining HR policies. The advisor will also contribute to wellbeing and diversity initiatives while providing data insights and supporting payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with managers to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Meeting with new starters and leavers to ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding process.
- Supporting wellbeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Assisting with employee relations, such as absence and performance improvement.
- Answering queries and providing data insights (e.g., regional reporting, diversity metrics, staff lists, leavers, and movers' reports).
- Supporting team processes and checklists.
- Reviewing monthly payroll submissions.
- Maintaining people-related policies.
- Joining project teams to support continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Previous HR Advisor experience.
- Knowledge of current employment legislation.
- Recruitment experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, corporate environment.
- A CIPD qualification is desirable.
