At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft. We're looking for an HR Administrator to join the Filton site's HR function on a full time and permanent basis. This role is full time on site, with an early finish on Friday, and some flexible working available. The purpose of the role is to provide a responsive and reliable administration service to employees and managers. You will own end-to-end process execution from recruitment through to offboarding.
What You'll Be Doing As an HR Administrator you will take ownership and act as a compliance champion, ensuring the accuracy of the following:
- Recruiting and Onboarding Preparation of offer letters and contracts etc.
- Own pre-employment background check processes (BPSS).
- Provide support to recruitment processes including room booking, candidate communication etc.
- Employee Lifecycle and HRIS Maintain accurate employee records on the HRIS.
- Ownership of right to work compliance.
- Maintain agency worker compliance.
- Act as a first point of contact for transactional employee queries.
- Process contract change documents.
- Coordinate leaver processes and action employment reference requests.
What you'll Bring Essential In this role it is crucial to have held an administration role within an HR capacity, you will bring the following skills and experience into the role:
- Experience working in an HR Administrator role.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Experience maintaining employee records using an HRIS.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
Desirable Previous experience in the aerospace, defence, or manufacturing sector (or similar).
