Summary: The HR Administration Manager role at a leading Construction & Engineering company involves overseeing HR administrative services for approximately 11,000 employees in the UK. This position focuses on driving continuous improvement and compliance across the employee lifecycle while managing a team of HR professionals. The role is a 24-month fixed-term contract and requires collaboration across various departments to enhance HR processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of UK employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of HR professionals in delivering core services including vetting, onboarding/offboarding, employee data management, and occupational health.
  • Ensure HR services meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Drive process improvement using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, HR, IT, and business leads to align and enhance processes.
  • Act as deputy to the Head of Employee Services, taking ownership during absences and high-demand periods.
  • Own documentation, escalations, compliance, and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Deliver strategic initiatives, including TUPE transitions and annual salary reviews.
  • Manage high-volume contractual change activity.

Key Skills:

  • Deep understanding of UK employment law and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HR services for large, complex workforces.
  • Proven leadership of large operational teams (direct and indirect reports).
  • Strong technical knowledge of HR systems, ideally SAP/SuccessFactors.
  • Excellent data insight capabilities to drive performance and engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and a continuous improvement mindset.
