General Overview

The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting the HR department in all administrative aspects of human resources management. This includes maintaining employee records, managing HR documents, assisting with recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The HR Administrator plays a crucial role in facilitating smooth HR operations and providing support to employees and management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, job history, and attendance records.
  • Prepare and manage HR documents such as employment contracts, changes in employment, leavers etc.
  • Assist with the onboarding process including coordinating inductions.
  • Ensure HR activities comply with company policies and legal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Address employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Prepare regular HR reports on employee turnover, absences, recruitment, and other HR metrics.
  • Any other reasonable request.

Qualifications or Required Experience

Essential:

Proven experience as an HR Administrator or in a similar administrative role.

Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Desirable:

CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice or equivalent.

Previous experience in the construction industry.

Familiarity with UK employment laws and regulations.
