Housing Regulatory Compliance Apprentice

Location: Birmingham City Council, Ashted Lock

Salary: Grade A

Hours: 36.5 per week - Although most work is undertaken in core office hours you will be expected to work flexibly and routinely outside of core office hours to ensure service delivery.

Contract: Fixed Term – 24 months - 5 posts available

Start Date: 5th February 2026 – applicants MUST be available to start on this date

Join Birmingham City Council as a Housing Regulatory Compliance Apprentice and play a key role in supporting the implementation of the Renters Rights Act. You will work closely with our experienced Private Sector Housing team, gaining real-world experience in property inspections, housing standards enforcement, licensing schemes, and tackling rogue landlords.
