Key Responsibilities:
- Assess housing needs for customers approaching the council for social housing in accordance with legislation and local policy.
- Provide general advice on housing options, including mutual exchanges.
- Assist customers through telephone, email, and face-to-face contact.
- Take a principal role in social housing allocation through Homeseekerplus.
- Establish links with health, education, employment, and other relevant agencies to meet housing needs.
- Provide training sessions to partner agencies to develop positive working relationships.
- Prepare reports and statistical information for performance monitoring and statutory reporting.
- Support various housing projects in accordance with service needs.
Key Skills:
- Two years’ work experience in the social housing sector, including housing management.
- Full driving licence and access to own car.
- Enhanced DBS within 12 months or on the update service.
