Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel and representation to tenants facing housing issues such as pest infestations, inadequate heating, and other unsafe living conditions.
• Investigate claims, collect evidence, and prepare legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate settlements or represent clients in court to ensure tenants' rights are upheld and landlords meet their obligations under housing laws.
• Stay current on housing laws, tenant rights, and building codes to effectively advocate for clients.
• Work with landlords, property managers, and insurance companies to reach favourable resolutions for tenants.

Key Skills:

• A qualified solicitor or legal executive with a valid practising certificate.
• Experience working in housing law, tenant rights, or personal injury law is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain legal matters clearly to clients.
• Experience in litigation, including representing clients in County Court and negotiating settlements.
• Familiarity with UK housing law, including Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018, and other relevant housing regulations.
