Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor at The Ashton Care Home is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations and leading a dedicated team to maintain high cleanliness standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the housekeeping team, assigning tasks and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
  • Train new employees, evaluate their performance, and provide ongoing support to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Schedule and delegate work for daily cleaning, laundry, and other essential tasks to ensure all areas are well-maintained.
  • Order and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Inspect residents’ rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Address and resolve complaints and requests from residents and staff promptly and professionally.
  • Adhere to and enforce proper safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Act as the point of contact between the housekeeping department and other key departments to ensure seamless communication.
  • Manage the budget for housekeeping operations, keeping accurate records of expenses and working within financial guidelines.
  • Regularly communicate with management and attend meetings as required to discuss operations and improvements.
