Hotel Director

Summary: The Hotel Director is responsible for overseeing Hotel Operations on a vessel, ensuring the achievement of company targets and Key Performance Indicators across various departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Guest Relations. This role demands a senior leader with extensive experience in luxury hotel or cruise environments, capable of managing day-to-day operations and driving performance. The Hotel Director must possess strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse team and enhance guest satisfaction. A background in hospitality management or related fields is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the functions of Hotel Operations onboard the vessel.
• Drive and maximize positive results on company targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Manage day-to-day operations and performance of all departments within Hotel Operations.
• Lead teams in a positive and productive manner, inspiring and developing individuals.
• Implement business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.
• Ensure personalized services and guest satisfaction through quality service standards.
• Manage human resources functions and policies.

Key Skills:

• Minimum of five years’ experience as a senior leader in luxury hotel or cruise industry.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead with a global perspective in a culturally diverse environment.
• Knowledge of business and organizational planning principles and processes.
• Understanding of personalized service principles and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of human resources policies and practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Intermediate computer software skills.
