Horizonal Directional Drilling & Outfall Lead - Redcar

Summary: The role of HDD & Outfall Lead involves overseeing horizontal directional drilling and outfall activities for a major offshore installation project in Redcar, with occasional travel to London. The position requires managing subcontractors and ensuring safe and efficient execution from design to installation. The candidate will act as a key interface across various disciplines and supervise all site activities. This is a 12-month contract classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage HDD subcontractors, including coordination of progress, technical, and risk review meetings
• Review and coordinate subcontractor documentation, including designs, procedures, and as-built records
• Prepare and deliver project reporting for installation and engineering meetings
• Act as the key interface across disciplines (HSE, QA/QC, Engineering, Drafting) and with contractors
• Supervise all HDD site activities, including mobilisation, installation, execution, testing, and demobilisation (onshore and offshore)

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) within construction or offshore projects
• Strong understanding of subcontractor management and site execution
• Experience interfacing across multiple disciplines and stakeholders
• Knowledge of diving support operations is advantageous
• Valid OGUK Medical
