Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and maintaining HV equipment and switchgear, including AIS and GIS systems up to 132kV.
  • Working on power transformers, protection panels, battery chargers, SCADA/telecontrol panels, and more.
  • Carrying out planned and emergency maintenance across customer and DNO networks.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring compliance with design specs and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients for efficient work delivery.
  • Participating in out-of-hours and standby duties for urgent operational issues.
  • Supporting various industrial environments, including manufacturing and commercial private networks.

Key Skills:

  • DNO industry experience in the UK or overseas with a qualification in Electrical Power Engineering.
  • Proven track record in construction, repair, and operation of HV equipment up to 132kV.
  • NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work.
  • Sound knowledge of HV and LV systems with experience as an Electrician (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with switchgear, protection types, and installation/maintenance procedures.
  • Competency using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to standby and out-of-hours work.
  • Full UK driving licence.
