Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Technical Lead/Architect in collaboration with systems, software, firmware, mechanical, and production teams.
  • Specify and design high-speed digital aspects of electronics.
  • Lead electronics design activity through the full product development lifecycle.
  • Develop hardware architectures and document designs to a high professional standard.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in complex, high-speed digital electronics design.
  • Experience with MPSoC FPGA, DDR, Flash memory, and high-speed serial interconnect design.
  • Proficiency in SI and PI Analysis.
  • Proficiency in VHDL, C, C++, or Python for board-level testing and debugging.
  • Familiarity with DSP concepts for SDR, radar signal processing, and optical sensors.
  • Strong academic background and desire to drive collaboration.

Job Title: High Speed Digital Design Engineer

Location: Stevenage / Bristol

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site, due to workload classification. This could be less depending upon project requirements.

Overview of department: As part of a large team of analogue and digital electronics design engineers, you will be responsible for the electronics design and development of high speed MPSoC FPGA and AI hardware solutions targeting SDR, radar signal processing and sensor fusion applications.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a High Speed Digital Design Engineer? As Digital Design Engineer you will support the Technical Lead/Architect in collaboration with the systems, software, firmware, mechanical and production teams to specify elegant and optimised solutions that satisfy customer needs. Once the specification has been agreed, you will be responsible for the detailed design of the high speed digital aspects as well as leading all the other electronics design activity through the full product development lifecycle.

  • Experience in complex, high speed digital electronics design.
  • Experience in MPSoC FGPA, DDR and Flash memory and high speed serial interconnect design
