Summary: The High Hazard Engineer role at BAE Systems involves providing expertise in safety, health, and environmental (SHE) compliance, particularly regarding COMAH and explosives regulations. Client: BAE Systems

Job Title: High Hazard Engineer

Duration: 12 months

Location : Glascoed

Hourly Rate: £40 PAYE, £53.90 Umbrella

Working Arrangements: 3 days per week on-site

Working Hours: - 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities :

  • Being involved in every aspect of SHE, in particular act as a subject matter expert in respect of compliance with the COMAH and explosives Regulations.
  • Support and advise on future projects.
  • Provide advice and assistance to senior managers and staff that will enable them to discharge their responsibilities under the SHE Policy in respect of High Hazard, process safety, Explosive safety and COMAH.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Have experience of working in a High Hazard Industry, preferably at an Upper Tier COMAH site
  • Demonstrate theoretical and practical expertise in explosive risk management and explosive licensing
  • Demonstrate theoretical and practical expertise in respect of COMAH
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and experience to deliver high quality SHE training
