About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
About the North London Councils Partnership
Following the merger of the North West London and North Central London Integrated Care Boards, the West and North London Councils have agreed to work together to strengthen their collective influence, align priorities across health and care, and shape a coherent local government response to complex system-wide challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Health and Care Portfolio Lead, you’ll turn shared ambition into tangible progress across the ICS sub-regional footprint. Leading a diverse strategic portfolio, you’ll build consensus, create momentum and translate partnership priorities into clear plans that deliver better outcomes for residents. Working closely with networks of Directors of Adults, Children’s Services, Commissioning and Public Health, you’ll shape strategy across boroughs, drive collaborative service improvement, and build trusted relationships across local government, the NHS and the voluntary and community sector — ensuring collective action leads to real impact.
All About You
We’re looking for an experienced system leader with a track record of shaping strategy and delivering progress across organisational boundaries. Comfortable operating in complex, politically aware environments, you lead through influence, credibility and sound judgement — not hierarchy. You know how to build alignment where there’s no single line of authority, and you balance pace with inclusion to help senior leaders navigate ambiguity, reform and competing priorities. You bring a pragmatic, adaptable approach to programmes and partnerships at different stages of maturity, using frameworks thoughtfully rather than rigidly. Skilled at handling tension and negotiating across perspectives, you unite people around shared outcomes. Curious, reflective and evidence-driven, you translate complexity into clear advice — motivated above all by improving outcomes for residents through collaborative, purposeful system leadership.
