Health and Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of Health & Safety across multiple construction projects throughout Wales.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures and management systems.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Produce detailed reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions and health & safety briefings.
  • Support project teams during planning and delivery to ensure best practice is embedded from the outset.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies on all Health & Safety matters.
  • Promote a proactive, positive safety culture across the organisation.

About You

  • We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional with a strong background within the construction industry.
  • You Will Ideally Have Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager, HSE Manager, Health, Safety & Environment Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience working within construction, civil engineering or building projects.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Membership of IOSH (GradIOSH or CMIOSH preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to influence teams at every level of the business.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across Wales.
