Summary: The role of Health and Safety Consultant involves joining a next-generation avionics client as an experienced HSE Engineer, Lead, or Manager on an initial 6-month contract. This hands-on position focuses on ensuring safe operations, managing risk, and fostering a proactive safety culture within a high-tech aerospace environment. The consultant will support operational teams and contribute to safety initiatives while maintaining compliance with UK HSE legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational teams to plan and carry out work safely
- Lead and assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments in line with UK HSE legislation and ISO 45001
- Contribute to safety communications, briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate HSE records and reporting
Key Skills:
- 5–10 years’ HSE experience, ideally in aerospace, aviation, or high-hazard industries
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; ISO 45001 knowledge
- Strong practical understanding of UK HSE legislation, risk management, and incident investigations
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams to deliver safe, practical solutions
