Head of Supply Chain Excellence

For one of our clients, a leading retailer, we are currently looking for an Head of Supply Chain Excellence focusing on data-driven innovation and operational scalability.

As the Head of Supply Chain Excellence, you will lead a team large team of proffesionals and play a key role in optimizing supply chain processes. You will be part of the management team responsible for procurement and ensure the organization remains at the forefront of innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead and inspire the Supply Chain Excellence department, driving a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance product availability, scalability, and working capital efficiency.
• Act as a sparring partner for Procurement, Logistics, and IT to deliver impactful innovations.
• Oversee key processes such as S&OP support, supplier service, performance management, and invoice matching.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans for your team and ensure alignment with overall business goals.

Profile:

• Proven leadership experience in Supply Chain Management or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience in a commercial and data-driven environment.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills; innovation-oriented mindset.
• Experience with stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and/or procurement.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

Project Details:

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)
• Hours per week: 40
• Hourly rate: (depending on experience)
