Summary: The Head of Sales – Exhibitions and Events at Olympia Events is responsible for driving exhibition sales in alignment with the company's growth strategy. This role involves cultivating key relationships, executing sales strategies, and ensuring profitability across various event spaces. The position requires a deep understanding of market trends and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise revenue opportunities and ensure sell out for all agreed event spaces within the Exhibition Halls.
- Work with the Sales Director – Events to execute strategies to support business objectives and maximise awareness for all Exhibitions.
- Deliver and execute a sales strategy to meet agreed targets in line with the company Masterplan.
- Cultivate and develop key relationships within a corporate and consumer marketplace in the UK and Internationally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lapsed and new clients to ensure repeat business.
- Create proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Build processes to support business growth and monitor these processes to drive efficiencies.
- Manage and develop staff and implement KPIs and targets to meet growth expectations.
- Recruit staff and develop an aspirational hierarchy for high performers.
- Deliver a profit and loss process to ensure events meet required profitability.
- Create sales collateral, including brochures, presentations, and pitch decks.

Job Purpose: Reporting directly to the Sales Director – Events you will be responsible for delivering the strategy to secure Exhibition sales that align with Olympia’s ambitious commercial growth plan and business objectives. You will possess a deep understanding of market trends and competitive landscapes to cultivate key relationships and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximise revenue opportunities and ensure sell out for all agreed event spaces within the Exhibition Halls (Grand Hall, National Hall, West Halls - Ground and Lower, and the new Central Hall (new venue linked to the International Convention Centre) in line with EBITDAR business expectations.
- Work with the Sales Director – Events to execute strategies to support business objectives and maximise awareness for all Exhibitions and guest experiences.
- Deliver and execute a sales strategy to deliver your agreed targets in line with the company Masterplan
- Cultivate and develop key relationships within a corporate and consumer marketplace in the UK and Internationally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lapsed and new clients to ensure repeat business.
