Summary: The Head of Sales for an international bank in London will be responsible for sourcing and originating new lending opportunities in property debt finance, focusing on buy-to-let and development finance. This role requires leveraging existing networks and market outreach to grow the bank's credit portfolio. The successful candidate will evaluate borrower requirements, structure transactions, and maintain relationships with various stakeholders in the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate credit opportunities in property debt finance through own network and market outreach.
  • Sourcing new BTL lending opportunities through brokers, property developers, introducers, and direct client relationships.
  • Evaluate borrower requirements and propose suitable lending solutions in line with Bank policies.
  • Structure and originate real estate finance transactions from sourcing to disbursement.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of professional landlords, SPVs, LLPs, and property-investment clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate brokers, institutional funders, and property investors.
  • Conduct initial deal screening, including borrower profile, rental yield, LTV, DSCR, and asset quality.
  • Conduct preliminary affordability and rental coverage assessments in line with Bank’s internal loan policy.
  • Prepare indicative term sheets and negotiate commercial terms within bank policy.
  • Manage a portfolio of professional landlords, SPVs, LLPs, and property-investment clients.
  • Liaise with valuers, solicitors, and brokers to ensure smooth processing and faster conversion of leads.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for timely approvals and disbursements.

London based international bank, seek an experienced Head of Sales to join the bank on a 12 month rolling contract to help source and originate new lending opportunities primarily in property debt finance (buy-to-let and development finance) through existing network and market outreach. This will involve sourcing new BTL lending opportunities through brokers, property developers, introducers, and direct client relationships

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate credit opportunities, primarily in property debt finance (buy-to-let and development finance) through own network and market outreach.
  • Sourcing new BTL lending opportunities through brokers, property developers, introducers, and direct client relationships using own network and through wider market outreach and contribute to the growth of the Bank’s credit portfolio.
  • Evaluate borrower requirements and propose suitable lending solutions in line with Bank policies.
  • Structure and originate real estate finance transactions from sourcing to disbursement.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of professional landlords, SPVs, LLPs, and property-investment clients investing in UK residential property.

  • Proven track record in handling medium to large corporate clients, including credit appraisal, structuring, and end-to-end deal execution.
  • Strong understanding of UK Buy-to-Let mortgage (unregulated) market, including Rental stress tests, ICR (Interest Coverage Ratio), Portfolio landlord rules and Property valuation processes.
  • Strong analytical ability for credit assessment.
  • Familiarity with UK property market trends and NRI investment patterns.
  • Strong network with real estate brokers, institutional funders, and property investors.
  • Ability to work with brokers and intermediaries.
  • Experience in leading sales teams, driving business growth, and achieving credit portfolio targets is essential.
