ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Head of Sales & Marketing Strategic Portfolio and Transformation to lead the design and delivery of a prioritised global transformation agenda aligned to our growth ambitions. Reporting to the Global Director of Sales and Marketing, this role is accountable for translating strategy into a clear, sequenced roadmap that strengthens capability, improves ways of working, and evolves systems across the organisation
As a key member of the leadership team, you will turn strategic plans into a clear, actionable roadmap, ensuring initiatives are sequenced thoughtfully and delivered at a sustainable pace to achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes.
You will own the Sales & Marketing transformation portfolio, ensuring alignment to business strategy and a disciplined focus on value creation. Working in partnership across Sales, Marketing, Technology, Operations, and HR, you will shape global go-to-market approaches, revenue architecture, and capability frameworks that enable sustainable growth.
You will establish strong governance and prioritisation, ensuring resources are focused on the highest-impact initiatives, risks are actively managed, and progress is communicated clearly, with an emphasis on impact and outcomes over activity.
As a senior leader, you will build alignment across a complex matrix organisation, leading transformation with multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Success will be measured through improved global capability, more effective ways of working, improved customer experience and consistent delivery against strategic priorities
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
ABOUT YOU
Essential:
- Extensive Senior level leadership experience and capability with strong influencing and authority across complex matrix organisations.
- Proven experience leading cross functional and large-scale capability and continuous improvement portfolios.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link strategy to financial and growth outcome.
- Deep experience in governance, prioritisation, and executive decision making.
- High executive presence with exceptional communication, and relationship building capability.
- Ability to simplify complex, ambiguous problems and drive clarity.
- Background in Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, or GTM transformation.
Desirable:
- Sector experience in education, publishing, SaaS, or subscription- based models.
- Experience in CRM, marketing automation, enablement platforms, and revenue tech stacks.
- Data-driven commercial leader, fluent in pipeline management, forecasting models and performance analytics.
- Proven leadership of high performing teams across systems, revenue operations, and programme management office (future).
