Summary: The Head of Rewards role at the Greater London Authority (GLA) involves leading the design and implementation of reward, benefits, and recognition strategies to support the organisation's People Strategy. This position requires strategic development of compensation frameworks and governance of remuneration decisions, ensuring alignment with fairness and diversity principles. The role is temporary and full-time, with a hybrid working arrangement based in City Hall. The successful candidate will need to start in the first week of May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development of long-term reward, benefits, and recognition strategies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive pay and grading reviews in collaboration with senior management.
- Design and execute reward frameworks, including cost-benefit analyses and project management.
- Oversee annual performance compensation processes and governance of remuneration decisions.
- Maintain and enhance a competitive core employee benefits proposition.
- Develop organisation-wide communication plans for reward strategies.
- Ensure compliance with equality laws and promote inclusivity and diversity in reward practices.
Key Skills:
- Corporate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development or equivalent.
- Substantial experience in a senior strategic HR role.
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to influence senior leadership.
