Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the transformation of QA processes from manual to automation-first models.
- Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies.
- Manage direct reporting to C-suite executives.
- Design and implement automated quality gates and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize Agile/XP practices, including TDD and BDD.
- Mentor high-performing teams in quality engineering.
- Shape sustainable quality practices for long-term impact.
Key Skills:
- Proven leadership in QA strategy and transformation.

This is an initial 6-month contract Day rate: 600-650 day (inside IR35) We're seeking an exceptional Head of QA to spearhead a rapid transformation from manual-heavy processes to a cutting-edge, developer-embedded, automation-first quality model. Requirements Proven QA Strategy Leadership – Track record of creating and executing comprehensive QA transformation Automation-First Transitions – Successfully moved teams from manual to modern, developer-embedded models C-Suite Stakeholder Management – Direct reporting experience with CPTO/CTO level executives CI/CD Expertise – Design and implementation of automated quality gates and pipeline optimization Agile/XP Mastery – Deep knowledge of Extreme Programming practices (TDD, BDD, pairing) Bonus Points For Java/Spring microservices and distributed architecture testing experience AI/LLM feature testing (explainability, consistency, audit logging) AI-powered tooling expertise (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) for test automation.
