Working for an enterprise software scaleup, the Interim Head of Product / Contract Product Director role involves leading a product team of 8 during a period of maternity leave. The overall strategy has been set, this role involves focusing on delivery, leading & coaching the team and managing stakeholder relationships internally and externally.They have both mature products with growing ARR and early-stage products under experimentation. Their software is business critical.This is a 7-month contract and is OUTSIDE IR35. It s a hybrid (mostly-remote) role with one day per week (Wednesday) at their central London offices.The Interim Head of Product / Contract Product Director will:Lead a product and design team of 8, including objective setting, coaching, performance management (with HR support), etc.Ensure the overall product strategy and sub-streams of work are planned and delivered.Help to introduce product best practice, systems and processes to support the delivery of high quality products.Manage stakeholder relationships with leadership, technology, commercial teams, customers and external partners.Contribute to quarterly planning sessions.Candidates for the Interim Head of Product / Contract Product Director role must have:Product leadership experience with a SAAS enterprise software vendor, from any industry sector.Strong people management experience of teams of 5+ people.Comfort in a founder-led, business critical software environment, where keeping a calm head to resolve any problems affecting customers quickly is required.Comfort focusing on execution as opposed to shaping a product strategy.Experience implementing product management structure, processes and best-practice, and evangelising product management to the business.Ability to quickly acclimatise to new environments, build relationships and add value as a product leader.
