We are seeking an experienced Head of Product to join a large-scale digital transformation programme delivering modern digital services and replacing critical Legacy technology.
This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for defining product vision, shaping delivery priorities and ensuring product outcomes align to wider programme objectives.
You'll work across multiple teams, managing complex stakeholder relationships and driving the successful delivery of new digital capabilities from development through to live operation.
The successful candidate will bring strong product leadership experience, a track record of delivering complex digital services and the ability to influence at senior levels within large organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product strategy, vision and roadmap.
- Lead product decision-making across a complex delivery landscape.
- Ensure delivery teams remain aligned to agreed business and user outcomes.
- Establish effective product governance, prioritisation and reporting frameworks.
- Drive collaboration across product, engineering, architecture and delivery functions.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships and influence strategic decision-making.
- Oversee product delivery through Beta and Live phases.
- Balance user needs, business objectives, technical constraints and programme priorities.
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies and opportunities across multiple workstreams.
- Champion best practice product management and support the development of product capability.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience operating as a Head of Product, Product Director or equivalent senior product leadership position.
- Strong track record of leading product strategy within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Experience managing multiple product teams and complex delivery environments.
- Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
- Deep understanding of agile product development and modern digital delivery practices.
- Experience working within large, complex or highly regulated organisations.
- Strong commercial awareness and outcome-focused decision-making skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering integration, API or data exchange products and services.
- Experience modernising Legacy systems and transitioning to modern digital platforms.
- Experience within government, public sector or similarly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with complex cross-organisational stakeholder landscapes.
Contract Details
- Up to £600/day Inside IR35
- Hybrid working arrangement.
- 3 days per week onsite.
- Flexible onsite locations available across the UK.
- Nationwide applicants encouraged.
- Long-term transformation programme.
- BPSS clearance required.
