Summary: The Head of Procurement will lead the procurement strategy for a logistics sector leader, focusing on efficiency and value maximization. This role involves developing procurement policies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory and logistics. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a company-wide procurement policy to control costs and rationalise purchasing.
- Develop an annual business plan to meet customer expectations for service provision and maintenance.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the procurement team to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead supplier relationships to ensure delivery of EBIT and negotiate key commercial contracts.
- Manage risk through effective risk management disciplines.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of management experience, leading teams of 6 or more.
- Extensive indirect procurement experience with a focus on stakeholder management.
- Strong communication skills and experience in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
- Understanding of maintenance and production processes (desirable but not essential).
- Fully CIPS qualified with a degree level education and management qualifications.
