Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of the Category Strategy, working closely with the senior management team to ensure it delivers on corporate objectives.
- Develop and maintain Category plans and oversee spend levels for key clinical spend areas such as cardiovascular.
- Establish strong relationships with potential suppliers and create collaboration opportunities.
- Oversee the development of robust KPIs to be used across all category procurement activities.
- Analyse data and develop a multi-year category strategy which helps prioritise the annual pipeline of procurement activity.
- Lead the performance, development and day-to-day management of a team of category managers.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience leading and developing procurement teams at a strategic level, within a complex working environment.
- A proven track record in category management with detailed knowledge of developing and implementing category strategies.
- Previous working knowledge of managing procurement activity within a healthcare environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels.
