One of Morgan Law's Healthcare clients requires a senior procurement professional to manage a team of category managers responsible for the procurement of clinical goods and services across a complex corporate landscape. Duties include:

  • You will be responsible for the development of the Category Strategy, working closely with the senior management team to ensure it delivers on the corporate objectives
  • Develop and maintain Category plans and oversee spend levels for key clinical spend areas such as cardiovascular
  • Establish strong relationships with potential suppliers and create collaboration opportunities.
  • Oversee the development of robust KPIs to be used across all category procurement activities
  • Analyse data and develop a multi-year category strategy which helps prioritise the annual pipeline of procurement activity
  • Lead the performance, development and day-to-day management of a team of category managers

Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience leading and developing procurement teams at a strategic level, within a complex working environment.
  • A proven track record in a category management with detailed knowledge of developing and implementing category strategies.
  • Previous working knowledge of managing procurement activity within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels
