Summary: The Head of Procurement at EMCOR UK is responsible for leading the sourcing strategy and managing procurement spend, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving value for money. About The Role

Role Overview

The Head of Procurement will lead the sourcing strategy for EMCOR UK in collaboration with the Procurement Director and operational stakeholders. This is a transformational role working with the business to understand requirements and create a robust and forward - thinking framework to effectively deliver engineering excellence and a better world at work for our customers, colleagues and supply chain; and for the communities in which we work. As the Head of Procurement, you'll lead the way in setting the standard for procurement excellence, whilst driving a high-performance culture. The role will place emphasis on d riving value for money by leading all supply chain project negotiations and ensuring we remain competitive whilst maximising profit for EMCOR UK.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the procurement spend, taking leadership of major complex projects acting for the EMCOR customer reporting to the Procurement Director
  • Act as a trusted partner the face of Procurement to the Sector and represent Procurement at Operational leadership meetings/reviews
  • Support with the implementation of the new Procurement Operating Model
  • Define, implement, manage and execute sector specific sourcing strategies, aligned to customer business objectives
  • Ensure supply chain is fit for purpose, aligned to business need, and represents lowest total cost, optimal service, highest quality, providing ethical and sustainable supply with relevant impactful supply base innovation
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to reflect and influence the needs of the sector in developing Sector specific Supply Chain strategies
  • Make it easy for every buyer to do the right thing and measure, control, and address leakage
  • Ensure all supplier contracts support the optimisation of customer account margins and other benefits, offering opportunities for on-going improvements and enhancements
  • Line manage a team of Buyers

Who You'll Be

A senior champion of procurement with a passion for supply chain. Demonstrate a high level of integrity. Demonstrate the ability to assess and consider risk management throughout the procurement and contract management process. Demonstrate experience of successfully leading a procurement team. Champion sustainable Procurement knowledge. Hold strong presentation, stakeholder management and influencing skills. MCIPS (Preferred). Hold a valid full driving licence.
