Summary: The Head of Marketing for Vintage will lead the marketing strategy for key titles and imprints, particularly focusing on Jonathan Cape, while managing a team of two. This role requires a strategic and creative marketer who can deliver impactful campaigns and contribute to the overall marketing strategy. The position is part of a senior marketing team and involves collaboration across various departments to drive book sales and author profiles. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding, sales-driving campaigns for lead titles and manage brand for key authors.
- Support the growth strategy and acquisitions for Vintage’s Jonathan Cape imprint.
- Lead marketing strategy for the catalogue and classics, collaborating with sales, editorial, and publicity teams.
- Contribute to divisional marketing strategy and lead key projects as part of the senior management team.
- Show leadership in creative thinking, strategic planning, and campaign analysis.
- Manage and develop talent for two direct reports.

- Proven track record in delivering high-profile book marketing campaigns.
- Extensive experience in planning, executing, and analyzing campaigns to drive book sales.
- Strong design sensibility and understanding of consumer engagement.
- Excellent copywriting and positioning skills informed by audience insights.
- Experience in creative direction and presenting marketing visions effectively.
- Proven people-management experience and strong communication skills.
- Confident in running self-service advertising campaigns across various platforms.
- Significant experience working with agencies across different media.
