Summary: The Head of Infrastructure Delivery for Sustainability Projects at Coventry City Council will play a crucial role in implementing the Council's Climate Change Strategy and One Coventry Plan. What is the job role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join Coventry City Council as the Head of Infrastructure Delivery for Sustainability Projects and play a pivotal role in delivering our One Coventry Plan and Climate Change Strategy. of the Council’s Strategic Energy Partnership's infrastructure programme.
The Council's pioneering Strategic Energy Partnership is a joint venture with E.ON, which aims to deliver an ambitious and innovative programme that supports Coventry's journey to net zero.
The role will play a key part in the Strategic Energy Partnership Team which is made up of Council and E.ON staff, working alongside internal and external stakeholders to deliver high profile projects such as solar farms, decarbonisation of our buildings and fleet, retrofitting neighbourhoods and continuing the roll out of our extensive electric charging infrastructure and LEVI programme.
Who are we looking for?
Working alongside the Strategic Energy Partnership Programme Lead and programme team, you will support the successful delivery of the Strategic Energy Partnership's ambitious decarbonisation programme.
You will have experience in managing complex projects and programmes of significant value and will oversee a number of inclusive project and programme teams, made up of Coventry City Council employees from across a range of service areas, as well as external consultants and private sector partners.
You will possess excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with a range of stakeholders. You will be experienced in financial management, including the preparation of funding bids, liaison with external funders and management of funding contracts.
