Summary: The Head of HR will provide strategic leadership on people-related matters within the Shadow Football Regulator, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent while fostering an inclusive culture. This role involves developing and implementing a People strategy aligned with organizational objectives, overseeing workforce planning, and managing a team of HR professionals. The position is a 2-year fixed-term contract, contingent on the progress of the Football Governance Bill. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor on complex HR issues and drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, develop, and implement an IFR People strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the success of the People Strategy.
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop people strategies that improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor providing expert guidance on complex HR issues.
  • Oversee workforce planning to ensure the IFR has the right skills and capacity.
  • Lead talent management, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and improve staff wellbeing.
  • Lead on complex casework, including employee relations and performance management.
  • Manage a team of 5, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in workforce planning and leading HR transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of HR Policy and Employee Relations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience of coaching senior leaders through strategic challenges.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Chartered membership of the CIPD/Level 7 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of supporting an organization through significant change.
  • Knowledge of staff transfers and TUPE legislation.
