The Role
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll provide strategic financial leadership across several high-profile workstreams, including:
- Leading financial planning, forecasting and scenario modelling to support strategic decision making.
- Developing robust financial models to assess future performance, risks and opportunities.
- Preparing high-quality papers, reports and presentations for Executive and Board-level committees.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, translating complex financial information into meaningful business insight.
- Supporting the development and delivery of the organisation's financial strategy.
- Providing financial oversight of key organisational planning cycles and ensuring financial implications are clearly understood.
- Partnering with operational and strategic teams to challenge assumptions, identify risks and support effective resource planning.
- Producing clear financial communications to support organisational priorities and governance.
About You: We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Significant experience in FP&A, financial strategy, business partnering or commercial finance.
- Excellent budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and scenario planning skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing Board papers, committee reports, business cases or executive presentations.
- A proven ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and influence decision making.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside senior leaders and executive teams.
- Experience operating within complex organisations such as higher education, charities, public sector, NHS or similarly matrixed environments would be highly advantageous.
- Professional finance qualifications are welcomed, although applicants who are part-qualified with exceptional relevant experience will also be considered.
