Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the onboarding of new customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage ongoing and event-driven customer due diligence reviews.
- Implement controls such as enhanced oversight and exit strategies for high-risk customers.
- Supervise alert management and initial reviews for suspicious transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile the PEP register, and oversee sanctions and negative news screening.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting linked to customer data.
- Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing Financial Crime Operations team.
- Work closely with the MLRO, 2nd Line Financial Crime Compliance, and other key stakeholders to align strategies and controls.
- Drive process efficiencies and maintain operational effectiveness in a regulated environment.
- Stay informed of relevant regulatory developments and ensure controls remain robust.
Key Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of financial crime risk, including sanctions, KYC, fraud, and bribery.
- ICA Diploma, ACAMS, or equivalent certifications.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skilled in reviewing complex information and presenting clear, actionable insights.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and relevant financial crime monitoring tools.
