Summary: The role of Interim Head of Financial Reporting involves leading a team in delivering comprehensive financial reporting for an established international Financial Services business. The position requires interaction with executive-level stakeholders and management of external auditor relationships, while also driving finance change initiatives to support M&A activities. This six-month fixed-term contract offers a competitive salary and a flexible hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in financial reporting within the Financial Services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team delivering the Group’s full and half-year consolidated financial statements.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of seven, ensuring high performance.
- Challenge current processes and systems to identify improvements and maintain a robust control environment.
- Own the relationship with the Group’s auditors and manage the audit process.
- Stay updated on external reporting developments and industry best practices.
- Engage with other functions such as Treasury, Tax, Legal, and M&A on specific projects.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience in Financial Services.
- Proven track record in leading financial reporting consolidation processes (IFRS).
- Experience in finance change and improvement initiatives.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to gain credibility at senior levels and influence effectively.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
