Summary: The Interim Head of Finance Operations will lead a finance operations team of approximately 25 individuals in a prominent brand based in Central Bristol. This role involves overseeing transactional finance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving process improvements. The position is expected to last 4-6 months while a permanent hire is made, with a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering team culture, managing stakeholder relationships, and optimizing financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a finance operations team of around 25 people, setting culture and vision.
- Oversee ownership of the transactional ledger and approve month-end tasks.
- Develop and maintain a transactional control plan and process documentation.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and represent the function in business-wide projects.
- Serve as the SME for Finance Operations, handling escalations and conducting root cause analysis.
- Support risk management by enforcing policies in purchasing, expenses, and credit control.
- Ensure financial operations comply with local regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Oversee the effective use and operation of finance systems.
