Key Responsibilities
- Lead a business partnering team across Housing & HRA services
- Support budget setting, forecasting, management reporting, and Medium-Term Financial Planning
- Provide financial support on housing transformation programmes and capital investment
- Deliver strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders and elected Members
- Ensure strong financial governance, risk management, and value for money
- Support service improvement and financial performance initiatives
Requirements
- Fully qualified CCAB accountant (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in Local Government Housing Finance / HRA
- Strong knowledge of Housing Revenue Account budgeting, capital finance, and financial planning
- Proven experience in finance business partnering within the public sector
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
Allen Lane are currently recruiting an Head of Finance/Finance Business Partner – Housing & HRA to join a forward-thinking Local Authority on an a 6 month interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Local Government finance professional with strong experience in Housing Revenue Account (HRA) finance, housing services, and strategic business partnering.
This high-profile role will support Housing services across key areas including financial planning, budget management, capital programmes, temporary accommodation, and service transformation. Working closely with senior leaders, Directors, and Members, you will provide strategic financial advice and help drive financial sustainability and service improvement.
This role will offer Hybrid working with the expectation to be on site 1 day per week
