Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Finance Business Partnering function for Children’s Services, overseeing a team of 5
- Partner with senior service leadership to challenge, shape and deliver service plans and cost-saving initiatives
- Support the discharge of Section 151 responsibilities, providing high-quality financial insight to senior stakeholders
- Drive innovative, sustainable delivery models to maximise outcomes for residents amid ongoing financial pressures
- Contribute to a high-performance, continuous improvement finance culture
What you’ll need
- CCAB or equivalent professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIPFA, ACA, CIMA)
- Proven senior finance business partnering experience within Local Government or the wider public sector
- Strong track record of stakeholder management, financial stewardship and strategic financial planning
- Experience supporting Children’s Services finance is highly desirable
