Summary: The Head of Finance role is a 14-month fixed-term contract focused on financial reporting and management within a large Northwest housing association. Reporting to the CFO, the position involves leading financial controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring office attendance 1-2 days per month. The successful candidate will oversee a team and maintain relationships with external auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the group's policies, procedures and processes to ensure best practice
- Deliver the annual audited financial statements for the group, whilst maintaining relationships with external auditors.
- Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring financial controls
- Lead the rents and service charge team, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
- Support the group's advisors to ensure full tax compliance
- Lead financial reporting and rents and service charge teams
Key Skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA qualified accountant with experience operating in a senior finance position within the social housing sector.
- Working knowledge of the latest accounting standards - IFRS102
- Strong understanding of best practice in financial control
Salary (Rate): £85,000 yearly

Your new role

What you'll need to succeed
