p>Handle are currently working with a hugely popular global media brand, who are looking for a technically strong - Head of Finance. This is a great role that oversees external reporting, financial control and manages a team of 4. Therefore, proven team management and extensive experience with IFRS and technical accounting is key!
Responsibilities include -
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, offering mentorship and development
- Review financial statements and provide technical accounting input
- Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards for both existing and new policies
- Business Partner with various departments to discuss new or complex accounting scenarios
- Oversee the relationship with the Group Reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Manage the audit process
- Advise on statutory account filing and global compliance
Candidate Requirements -
- Fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience
- Extensive experience and deep understanding of IFRS, technical accounting concepts, and policies
- Be a proven team leader with experience developing and mentoring a high-performing team
- Have worked in another large multi-complex media business, ideally TV production
- Proven ability to improve financial reporting processes and deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines
