Summary: The Head of Digital Marketing at ZEISS will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to enhance customer experiences and drive growth. This role involves leading a team of digital marketing experts, overseeing digital platform development, and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. The position is based in Birmingham and is offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Key Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a Head of Digital Marketing to join us in Birmingham on a fixed term 12 month contract.

Your Role

Overall responsibility for creating the CZVUK&I Digital Marketing Strategy to create a seamless customer and consumer digital experience and drive growth through digital. Strategic guidance on the commercialisation of digital marketing solutions. Responsible for providing strategic guidance on growing digital media channel performance, growing customer acquisition and retention and ensuring that a team of digital marketing experts work synchronously to create a seamless customer and consumer experience.

The Head of Digital Marketing is responsible for leading, developing and coaching a team of digital marketing experts to deliver with excellence against key business objectives.

The role of Head of Digital Marketing will involve:

  • Leading on business strategic priorities that have a digital marketing focus.
  • Designing the digital marketing strategy and supporting the digital marketing team to implement the strategy as part of the company’s broader business and marketing plans, generating business leads and improving retention to ensure we deliver against our customer, commercial and brand goals.
  • Responsible for overseeing the progression of ZEISS customer and consumer facing and focused digital platform roadmaps, including overseeing the maintenance and development of ZEISS digital platforms.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the creation, maintenance and optimisation of end-to-end digital customer & consumer experience.
  • Responsible for driving continuous growth, innovation, and optimisation across all channels with a keen focus on how we leverage data, technology, targeting and creativity to deliver the best possible performance for the business.
  • Responsible for enabling and supporting the Digital Platform Manager to influence Global headquarters to secure development resource for customer and consumer facing digital platforms within the UK&I.
  • Designing digital campaign and content strategies in collaboration with the wider marketing team (local & global) that transmit the organisation’s goals and objectives.
  • Researching and analysing performance drivers in collaboration with the Digital Marketing & Platforms Manager to improve future customer and consumer facing digital solutions and digital campaign performance.
  • Contributing towards yearly marketing budgets, KPIs and sales forecasts and managing the digital marketing budget.
  • Upgrading the organisation’s digital marketing capabilities with key stakeholders, as well as implementing best practice social media and digital trends for profitable growth.
  • Leading, developing and coaching a team of digital experts to create a high performing team to deliver the digital marketing strategy.

Your Experience

As Head of Digital Marketing you will have:

  • Proven ability to lead, develop and coach a team of digital marketing experts to deliver with excellence against key business objectives.
  • Proven ability to deliver seamless digital marketing experiences for customers and consumers
  • Proven ability to create and manage the progression of customer and consumer facing and focused digital platform roadmaps
  • Proven capability piloting & rolling out new customer and consumer facing and focused digital solutions and platforms
  • Can demonstrate sound understanding of and practical experience using a range of digital marketing channels (social media, web etc)
  • Proven capability managing multichannel & digital B2B and/or B2C campaigns with clear ROI
  • Proven capability developing the content strategy, maintenance, optimisation and development for customer and consumer facing and focused digital platforms
  • Proven capability to undertake research, insight, and analysis to improve the end-to-end digital customer and consumer experience
  • Proven ability to create business cases to influence stakeholders for the development of new customer and consumer facing and focused digital platform features
  • Proven ability to craft, test and optimise end to end digital customer journeys
  • Proven ability to use marketing automation tools to improve the customer and consumer journey
  • Proven ability to effectively manage people and agency partners
  • Proven expertise in reporting on multiple data sources to create a holistic picture of the end-to-end digital customer journey and digital channel and campaign performance.
