Key Responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise Microsoft Fabric data engineering strategy and roadmap
- Drive implementation across OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2 and Spark
- Establish modern medallion architecture - Bronze, Silver & Gold
- Lead data engineering teams across development, testing, release and operations
- Implement CI/CD, Git/source control and DevOps practices
- Drive data governance, security, lineage and access controls
- Optimise Fabric workloads, performance and capacity/cost management
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise platforms and SaaS applications
- Establish sustainable BAU operating models, engineering cadence and ways of working
- Support knowledge transfer and ensure a smooth transition into the established operating model.
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level Data Engineering/Data Platform leadership experience
- Strong Microsoft Fabric implementation experience
- Excellent Azure/cloud data engineering background
- Experience leading engineering teams and technical delivery
- Strong understanding of data architecture, modelling and modern lakehouse patterns
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and production platform operations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience establishing or transitioning data platforms into BAU
